Craft Time April 22

10:00 Toddler Class

Happy Earth Day! We have a wonderful art project today to celebrate Earth Day! We are making a tree using recycled materials and materials from our nature walk. 

OUR GIVING TREE

MATERIALS:
Cardboard
Leaves
Flowers
Glue
Scissors and paper


STEPS:
To draw the branches, trace your child’s hand on a piece of cardboard. (cereal box, old folders, back of notepads, or any thick card stock) 
Draw the tree trunk
Cut around your outline. 

Put glue on the branches and glue the leaves and flowers you collected. Let it dry and you have a beautiful giving tree. 






EARTH MARKER PAINTING


MATERIALS:
Paper cut in a circle
Marker blue and green -washable
Spray bottle



STEPS:

Draw continents with the green marker. Fill in the color.  (you can do Eastern or Western hemispheres)

Color around the continents with the blue marker to make the ocean. 

With the spray bottle, spray water and rub with cotton ball to blend the marker color.

We’re happy to see everyone today! We have fun arts and crafts for today. Since our theme this week is all about reptiles, Ms. Cresca has some great craft ideas for us to make this week.

We are making a Dino diorama where you can fill it with dinosaurs to make your playtime fun!

Good Morning everyone! It is our fifth week doing online class! Our toddlers are ready for class this morning. I think we’re getting the hang of distance learning. Ms. Erika sang the “good morning” song, and Ms. Annie did some stretching with the song, “If You’re Happy and You Know It”.

1:00 Arts and Crafts Time with Ms. Mary

Today’s art presentation with Ms. Mary are fun crafts to do for Earth Day which will be on April 22, 2020. She asked the children what are the things they can do to help the earth. The children raised their hands and gave answers like plant a tree, recycle plastic bottles, water plants, plant in the garden, reusing other resources, reduce use by not letting the water run for a long time. Happy Friday! What a great day to have music time with Mr. Taylor. First of, we have to shake our wiggles out. Our students are shaking and dancing off their wiggles! Ms. Annie and Ms. Erika were happy to see everyone. The children were in great spirits and ready for circle time today! Ms. Erika started with the calendar, and Ms. Annie followed by singing the dinosaur song with felt pieces. Next, Ms.Annie recited the nursery rhyme, Hey, Diddle, Diddle. Craft Time April 15

Toddler Craft Time 10:00 a.m.

Ms. Annie had a really fun craft today. She demonstrated how to make Five Little Ducklings stick puppets. All you needed was a duck illustration or a printout online. Color or paint the ducks, glue them on a construction paper or a sturdy paper, and glue them on popsicle sticks. To create the pond, color or paint the back of a paper plate, pizza cardboard backing, or cardboard, blue. You can also use blue construction paper or felt. Have fun!

We had a wonderful class this morning. It was nice to see our toddlers today! This week's lesson was about emotions. Ms. Erika talked about the many different emotions we have. We had a fun morning with Music Time with Mr. Taylor for our Toddler and Primary students. Recording of the class will be emailed to our families. The children were happy to sing their Good Morning song. Mr. Taylor sang and played, Shake Your Wiggles Out. The children danced and enjoyed shaking their wiggles out! Ms. Annie and Ms. Erika were happy to see our all toddler friends this morning! Ms. Annie reviewed the colors the children learned this week and last week, did a color matching work, and a super fun color mixing experiment. Craft Time!

Toddler Teachers, Ms. Annie and Ms. Erika created a cute craft for the toddlers. They asked each family to prepare materials for the Bunny craft. With the help of their parents, the children were able to follow the step by step directions given. The result were adorable bunnies!
